Please take a few minutes to understand our policies as they apply to you.

The Captain Lawrence Inn guest policies.

These policies of the Captain Lawrence Inn apply to all of our guests.  Understanding them will serve to prevent misunderstandings, and will help ensure your stay is smooth and worry free.

Check out is by 11:00am.

Our rates are based upon double occupancy.  Any additional person(s) sharing a room will incur an additional charge.  Additional guests in a room, and in the apartment, are allowed by prior arrangement only.

We take deposits in the amount of one half the total amount for multiple night stays, and in the full amount of one night stays.  Payments are accepted by major credit card, or by personal check within seven days of making a reservation.  Balance due upon check in by credit card or cash only.

Rates are subject to change except on confirmed reservations.

The Massachusetts State lodging tax is 5.7%, the Town of Falmouth lodging tax is 4%, and the Cape Cod water protection trust fund tax is 2.75%.  Together, these taxes combine to add an additional 12.45% to your bill.

Minimum stay requirements may apply to certain rooms, during certain times.  Any minimum stay requirement will always be disclosed upon making a reservation.

Children over 6 years of age are welcome in all the Inn’s rooms, and children of all ages are welcome in the cottage apartment.

We occasionally accommodate well behaved pets in certain rooms, at an additional daily pet fee of $30.00.  Please call to inquire prior to placing a reservation to ascertain whether this is possible for your stay.  In cases where we do accept dogs, they may never be left in the room without the owner present.
We have relationships will nearby ‘doggie daycare’ and kennels that we can recommend, as well as dog sitters through rover.com and dogvacay.com.
Any guest bringing an undisclosed pet into our rooms or cottage apartment will incur a $250.00 fee.

All personal property, including but not limited to travel documents, credit cards, electronics, cash, jewelry, or other valuables, are the full and sole responsibility of the guest.  The Captain Lawrence Inn is not responsible for any loss, of any property, of guests while staying at the Inn.
We have no safes or lockboxes in the rooms at this time.
Management is not responsible or liable for any damage to any auto, or its contents, while parked on Inn property.

As a small business, and due to our seasonal nature, cancellations affect us greatly.  Once we commit to hold a room for you, we turn subsequent inquiries away.
In the unfortunate situation where you need to cancel your reservation, deposits are refundable (less $50 per room admin charge) on reservations cancelled more than 21 days prior to scheduled arrival and check in.
On cancellations received within 21 days or less prior to arrival, the remaining balance due for the full reservation will be charged to your credit card.
On reservations made more than 6 months in advance, and for multiple room reservations, a 30 day cancellation policy applies.  Changes and modifications in existing reservations are subject to the above 21 and 30 day cancellation policy.
We understand things happen, and highly recommend travel insurance to protect against last minute emergencies.

If your stay results in any significant damage or loss of Inn property, responsible guests will be charged for the cost of replacement or repair.  We will notify you immediately to discuss any concern.  Bringing any issue to our attention in advance is appreciated.

The Captain Tom Lawrence Inn is a non smoking property.  Any guest not respecting this policy will incur a $250.00 fee.

Parking is absolutely available for registered guests, limited to one space per room.  Regrettably, our limited lot cannot accommodate ‘in tow’ vehicles or trailers, nor recreational vehicles.

All guests in the main house receive a full hot breakfast; please note that those guests in the Cottage apartment are not eligible as that room has its own kitchen facilities.
It may occasionally be possible to accommodate cottage guests for breakfasts, however only with advance arrangements and guests will incur an extra charge.
